A TwoGate engineer will speak in one of the sessions

From 179 proposals submitted, a session by TwoGate's Board Director & CTO, Okumoto, has been accepted. He will present the following session.

“Completing 1500 Examples in the 2-Minute Range! Environment Configuration Techniques Supporting Lightning-Fast CI”

[Speaker] Board Director & CTO, Okumoto

A fast CI/CD environment makes it possible to quickly deliver results to users while maintaining development quality. When the CI/CD environment is slow, noticing failures is delayed, making the correction cycle longer and longer. Particularly in the live event industry where we provide our products, if a problem occurs on the day of the event, immediate hotfixes to the production environment are required. Therefore, the speed of CI/CD directly impacts not only the development experience but also business value.
In this session, we will introduce how we went through trial and error to speed up our CI/CD execution environment, focusing on parallel execution techniques to complete over 1500 rspec examples in the 2-minute range for a Rails application.

About TwoGate Inc.

At TwoGate, we engage in activities to support students who are early adopters of programming technology, including our long-term internship program, hosting the short-term hackathon-style internship 'TwoGate Dev Camp', and sponsoring Mitou Junior.

[TwoGate's Relationship with Ruby]

TwoGate develops and operates multiple products, and all of our server-side development is done in Ruby.

Our original app Caravan for concert tours, festivals, and event venues offers merchandise pre-ordering systems with customizable payment and pickup methods as its core, alongside optional game content such as gacha and lotteries. Since events trigger massive simultaneous transactions, the system and server load spikes dramatically. Ruby plays a central role in handling this processing, having successfully managed high volumes of concurrent connections across various events to date.

Furthermore, CRAYON, which develops and operates official fan communication apps tailored to the entertainment industry, comes loaded with a wide variety of features. The server-side of CRAYON, which is used by Creepy Nuts and Kajisac, is also developed in Ruby.
